Product Overview

The DS830 is an 8 channel digital table top speaker station.  ASL Digital Intercom Tabletop Speaker Stations provide comprehensive, flexible and user-friendly communications in a smartly styled, 3U angled surface-mount cabinet.

“Soft Keys” and Other Programmable Parameters

The following functions may be assigned to the programmable “soft keys”:

  • CALL TO
  • CALL TO TALK
  • SPEAKER ON/OFF
  • TALK TO ALL
  • REMOTE ALL MIC MUTE
  • REMOTE MIC MUTE PER GROUP
  • REMOTE SPEAKER MUTE
  • REMOTE BUZZER MUTE
  • BUZZER MUTE OWN STATION
  • PTP RECEIVE DISABLE
  • MIC DIRECT OUT (Stage Announce)

The selected functions are accessed on four buttons in two layers, using the Shift key to change layers. In normal operation, the rotary knob serves as local intercom volume control; pushing the knob while turning controls the PGM (program) volume. In menu mode, the knob serves as a rotary encoder. In conjunction with the keypad, the encoder selects the “soft key” functions and also enables selection of 22 other menu items. The keypad also facilitates PTP communications (including a “speed dial”) and the sending of text messages.
